Starting Issues

Ok I start the truck up drive into work make a quick stop and itstarts right back up. Get to my final destination and need to make a run across the base. Turn the key ...click click. then i notice there are no dash lights or the radio even working. I get a boost and CLick click then no lights again. tap the solenoid and the lights come on. So i replace the solenoid and i get the same result. nothing. Any ideas. Could it be a fuseable link or just a really dead battery?

Have the battery load tested to eliminate that from the equation. Even a new solenoid can be bad, lot of cheap parts anymore. Your connections to solenoid should be good since you just changed it, but make sure the mounting screws are grounding it properly. The fuse link is close to the solenoid so visually inspect it. Check neg battery cable where it grounds to block, clean and reconnect. Loosing all power, points to a bad connection to battery or ground. That'll get you started finding your issue.
