Cat back exhaust

Was looking for a cat back exhaust for my 04 FX4 and was curious if they involve any welding or just strictly bolt on?

You can weld them if you want but bolt on work well too. The factory system is welded at the seams but that is easily dealt with.

Ok good! I have a saws-all but no welder, this is going to be my next upgrade to the truck after taxes

That's all you will need to get the old pipes off. Then a new bolt on one can be up and in place fairly quickly.

Mine was bolted in place, less than an hour from old to new.

My '08 supercrew was clamped on. Nice stainless steel Gibson supertruck cat back sounds great. Uses existing factory mounts. 20 minutes to complete everything.
