I thought I had seen an F250 in the Ultimate thread that had some wheel well storage boxes that swung out towards the open tailgate. I just searched through that thread and didn't see it but may have just missed it or it was in another thread...
Does anyone have these? I don't need a big tool box so I thought these puppies would be right up my alley. I only need to carry around some tow hooks, tie down straps, etc. Nothing too heavy or extreme. I like the idea that they swing out and thought that it was mentioned that they were quickly removable if needed.
If anyone has them, has used them, or can throw some opinions out about how well they work for light-duty carry, I'd love to hear from you. If you have an idea on proce, that would work too.
Hi,
I got a aluminum pork chop box in my truck. Did not like the way it stuck out past the wheel well. So, I cut and welded it to fit up tight against bed of the truck. Needed to modify the top to open to the long side of the box. I like it very much now. Got all kinds of crap in it.
Again guys, I really appreciate all the help! I ended up buying the Undercover SwingCase setup for the D/S from Amazon. My brother and his GF gave me an Amazon gift certificate for xmas and I ended up getting the SwingCase shipped to my door for $128. For what I need, this is damn near perfect!!
Once it gets here and I have time to get outside and install it, I'll post up a couple of pics and a quick review.
