Radiator Knocking Problem

Did the vinegar trick and between it and having new heads placed on, due to a dropped valve seat, it no longer knocks.
The vinegar definitely works though, when I drained it, it looked like I was draining a septic tank.

I know this is an old thread and the problem as been solved but I just came across it while searching for something else.
My truck did made this same noise after shutting it off and it was the cap.
