NGVAmerica website

It's the future! Briefly looked into converting to NGV, but put it on hold for now. But, here's a website that may provide you with some useful information re conversion: NGVA. If you go to the "Business Directory", you can find suppliers of all the conversation kits. Keep us posted!

CNG 2019 Revisited

It's now 2019, and the original posted thread was back in 2012.
I have a 2005.5 F350 6.0L Lariat bulletproof.
I'm considering doing a CNG conversion.
Has anyone given any more thought about CNG? It has been seven years now.
Thanks

Not that I have seen here. I have seen buses for auction that were diesel/CNG but those were 7.3's, you have a 6.0.

I was wondering what folks are getting as far as mileage goes. If it is worth doing the conversion.

Am presuming the question is to run 100% on CNG. Read a few articles on it.

Possible: Yes.

Worth it to convert: Not from an economic perspective.

But, last I read on the topic was ~2 years ago, so perhaps the hardware has come down in price to make the economics work.

The kit (minus the tank) is about $460.00.
The tanks cost depends on what size you want.
A 30 gallon tank is about $1,400.00.
Then there's the labor fees.

Something is telling me that a new tune is necessary too. Do not know whether there are any free ones out there.
