transmission temp sensor

Where is the transmission temp sensor located? What's an average price for one?

You have to drop the tranny pan I wouldnt think it cost to much 50.00 or less for the sensor

I think I paid about $13 for mine, and about $45 for the trans fluid.
That link Benny posted is excellent - tells you exactly how to do it. Took me less than 45 minutes in my driveway.

Thanks for all the help. I ordered 1 today it was $14.95. Will change it tomorrow. Reason for replacing is on my way home yesterday my temp gauge was on hot and tow/haul light flashing. Then it would go back to normal and shoot up again. About the last 10 miles it stayed on normal. Hoping this solves the problem.

That's exactly what mine was doing. Was just a bad sensor. Hopefully you have the same issue.

Well it took a total of 20 minutes to change my sensor. So far so good, will keep everyone posted on how it does.
