Two mornings in a row now I have started my truck as normal, backed it out of the garage into the driveway and turned it off. Two hours later I start it up again (I admit not letting it warm up for very long). Truck starts and idles normally but I go to give it some thottle and it starts running rough. Similar to the UVCH problem which I fixed last year, both sides. Check engine light comes on. Turn ignition off, then back on and truck starts nomrally and runs fine all day. Any input would be appreciated.
e99 with 128k......Fuel filter has been changed on a regular basis.
When mine ran low on oil it acted just like that until the temp hand hit the bottom of the normal range. Once I filled it back up, all was good. Its probably not your issue but I did not think it was mine when someone said to check the oil level.
With mine, if i did like you describe, it ran like crap. If i got in it, and drove out the driveway
running bad it would cut off on the other side of the yard and be a bear to recrank. But, if i let it warm to let the windows defrost or heater warmup, it ran fine. It was 6 qts low when I checked it.
The only thing that does not fit is the cycling the key thing.
I checked the oil and it's above the add oil line by about a quarter of a inch. I assume hat is a quart mark, so I don't think it's too low. I guess I will see how day three goes.
Just thought I would finsish this. Truck has not acted up again on startup since that second day. Still no way to get codes. I will just have to keep an eye on it. Thanks for the input.
Well thanks for that but I am on the Oregon Coast.... You could come over for the Pro Bowl and I could provide the beer! But from Montana you may be a little late... What scanner do you have?
