I only run Bio in the summer months. I go with homebrew B100 myself. 6 years now. Only issues have been filter pluggage and some problems of my own making from poor batches that I never should have run.

I run it when I can afford it. B99 here is +$3/gal. Other than that, no problems at all. I changed my filter a few more times, but never noticed any more filth in it. It seems to run the motor smoother and it smells great!

Just hate the gouge on the price.

Biodiesel

I have all of the parts to build a biodiesel processor. I need to get my butt in gear. I was going to use a 16 gal drum with a water heater element to bring the bio up to 130F. I have a source for a supply of the grease.

i wasnt sure if there is any issues with running B99. There is a place about 5 miles from my house that makes bio and is about 40 cents/gal cheaper than regular ULSD.

Give it a go, but carry a spare fuel filter. You'll need it soon after you start using it. And make sure you drain the fuel bowl well when doing a filter change. Any drips of that stuff that gets on your wiring will eat the coating. Don't ask me how I know.

2X. Make sure your fuel system is good and tight (leak free) as the Bio will eat wire insulation, rubber connector seals, etc.

I have run quite a bit of B20 through my truck and it runs good, but seems to be down a little on power. There is a station a mile from my house that sells B20 and it is typically about $.10 a gallon cheaper than ULSD. The engine seems a tad quieter on B20 as well, not as much injection noise.

What Nate said. I love how smooth and quite she gets on B100. Not to mention the smell. I have to maintain a heavy foot or the dogs and fat kids that follow me around try to get in the truck.
