In 2000 I bought an Armalite rifle chambered in the 50BMG. In the box was packed ear plugs and a couple of aspirins. I still think the aspirin deal is funny. Because of the compensator the kick to the shoulder is like shooting a 12 gauge trap gun. It's the concussion from that large caliber that is the bitch. I once stood beside of it when my buddy let a round loose, I absolutely thought it tore my pants off. Since I like to practice good shooting technic, you put 30 rounds through this rifle with good cheek weld the jaw will get a little tender. Best,CB

I can see packing earplugs in the box.

They're all ridiculous.....that's for sure......
ELEPHANT guns don't kick like that.....and past that, you're looking at something that isn't really a rifle.
In any event, if it has you pissing your pants and flinching.....it's way too much gun.
I'm curious.....What did the .577 T-Rex weigh?

Not sure of the rifle's weight, Steve.
Guessing. . . . maybe 9 lbs. ??????? ***
I did find this on the T-Rex.
.577 Tyrannosaur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
What amazes me is that is says that the T-Rex has the most 'free recoil' of any other rifle. 220 lbs of recoil into the shoulder.
I'm quite sure that it would 'rattle my teeth'!!!
***ETA: Just found an article on the 'net that says that the T-Rex weighs 13 lbs, built on the A-Square Rifle platform.

The T-Rex looks manageable, that .950 needs a whole heckuva lot more compensation, or a butt plate that is molded to the shape of most of your torso.
I once shot a box (5) 3" magnum 12-ga deer slugs wearing only a tank top, and I probably only weighed about 150 at the time. I felt it, even with good holding technique. Didn't feel the need to shoot more after that.
I'd love to see that .950 fired at night--bet that's a beautiful muzzle blast.
