Im not sure if the 8th or 9th gen trucks ever came with a tilt wheel/steering column, but if they did, would one be able to fit my 87 f150? (300-six, 4x4, 4 speed)
ok, because I might need to replaced my column anyway and would like having a tilt wheel, even though its just a standard cab, would having it tilt make it any taller? Im a tall guy and have a bench seat in there thats from a 93 so its a little taller than my old one too, makes it a little difficult getting in and out
You may or may not know, but pushing the turn signal lever toward the dash operates the tilt. Don't know if yours is equipt with it but i have only seen one around here WITHOUT tilt

Ive tried that before, either its seized up or its not equipped, I doubt it has it, its a bare bones stock fseries, no special edition or anything, Ill look and try it again, but I doubt its already tilt, might crap my pants if it is though

Maybe the 93+ are different than the earlier ones but mine has a separate lever for tilting the wheel. It's about 2" below the turn signal. Tilting the wheel all the way up should give a little more leg room.
yup.pre 92 used a separate lever for tilt function.
and non tilt columns were standard in plain jane trucks. it was a rare event for a tilt wheel to be installed in a custom.

I think you mean post 91. 88 -91 use one lever, the turn signal switch
