shifting problems
1999 f450 with auto tran 254kmiles i dont know anything more then that bought the truck used i have change the trans filter and the fluid and put in a different valve body the problem im having is if i only apply 1/3 throttle the truck shifts at 2- 2300rpms anything more then that it will not shift tell 3800 to 4200 rpms all gears shift the same and when it shifts at high or low rpms it shifts smooth or i also can lift my foot and shift the truck at any rpm what other things might i look at to fix the problem thanks

Did this start when you changed the valve body?
The first step is to find someone with a high end scan tool that can read Ford transmission codes. Most readers cannot. See if any codes are stored.

I only changed the valve body thinking maybe it had a shift kit but that was not the case and i have a snap on scanner and it has not one code and no lights of any kind also i forgot to put that this is a v10
