Hey guys! Its been a long time since I've been on here.... been extremely busy. I have a couple quick questions. First my truck is a 2001 F-250 with the 6 manual, with 266,000 miles. I've noticed oils dripping on the ground on the passenger side, from what I've read the rear main seals doesn't leak and the common problems are the HPOP and turbo pedestal. I've noticed there is quite a bit of oil on the left intercooler? tube that goes from turbo to the front. Any ideas on where the leak is? I've looked in the valley and can't find any standing oil. Also I really don't have time to work on it.... does anyone know any respectable mechanic in the central Arkansas area that's honest and fair? Thanks for any input/help!
It could be your intercooler tubes have oil in them. Sounds like your truck is stock so I doubt you have done the CCV Mod.
The CCV (drivers side valve cover) vents CCV gases into the intake system to reburn them. If yours has not been apart ever, you may have plenty of oil in there. The boots may also need replaced if they are damaged or oil soaked.
