I must be Crazy, But you guys probably already knew that....
I just purchased a 1949 ShoeCherobox you know a Sedan chopped into a Ranchero for near scrap price
It Ran shortly before it was parked and has been sitting since 1965, I grabbed it for the Radio, the rest is going to scrap.... just kidding I'll be able to salvage quite a few other parts off it but I seriously need to stop buying crap, this is the reason my trucks are progressing so slowly... oh wait they help me finance the truck builds...
My buddy picked up a 56 ford ranch wagon awhile back that had been cut down into a ranchero years ago. It was a decent conversion and looks good from 20'. He uses it as a parts chaser for his shop.
Sometimes those things work out, other times they don't
I have got to sell off a few things so that I can start buying some of this stuff....lol
Done right, there are lots of cars that look good like that. Usually not done right, tho...
My Stepdad took a pinto station wagon and cut it down into a ranchero back in the 80's and painted flames on it! I though he did a good job on it, of course there's not much you could do with a pinto to make it any worse
