While researching about EGR delete today it dawned on my that my 5 yr is coming up june 1st so my powertrain is going out the door anyways. I deleted last week and kept the dpf/cat just in case.
What should I do with them?? I do not know the condition of them at this point but truck has 46k miles. Can I sell any of the parts? Are they worth anything?
I ordered the FLO pro EGR delte kit from performance truck products today. It was the EC64 kit
Try selling on Craigslist. The units from Ford are over $1300. I'm sure there is someone out there that has had a DPF failure and it out of warranty but they want to retain stock performance. I'd remove the sensors and sell those separately on eBay. Their failure is common. My buddy had two fail.
Or scrap it. The Cat has platinum in it so you can prob get a decent amount.
Where are you located at? I might need one to pass emissions in my county...not sure yet, just bought the truck. So, I probably have a few weeks before I get a notice and then a few weeks to get it tested.
You should keep it in case you need to put it back on for future emission law changes. Who knows what is going to occur in the next 4 years and it could be a federal requirement at some point.
If you don't care about future changes that may require it, sell it. there are several people on here that need one to pass emissions.
I have one already. I was just trying to point out that people are looking for them to pass emissions like you. If I was close to WI I would loan you mine.
