Hello everyone.
First post here.
I've been researching and looking around for about 4 month.
Finally settled on 2005 e-250 Tuscany conversion van.
It has about 57K miles and seems to be in pristine condition.
My purpose for the van will be family trips year around and towing a 5,000# boat to the lakes (including mountain lakes).
Do you guys think it will handle the job well, especially on inclines?
Currently I tow with 05 Tacoma rated @ 6,500# and it gets the job done well.
Trans cooler is standard equipment but may be undersized for your requirements, some guys are using the 6.0 PSD cooler on the 5.4 engines. I have an '08 5.4 and have never had the trans temp above 140 while towing 6500 pounds with the stock cooler.
We have a guy named Mark Kovalsky that has been a member here for some time. He was a Ford automatic transmission engineer for 20 years and helped design the 4-speed and 5-speed transmissions in these trucks. Here's a recent thread about it:

High-top or Low-top?
At those parameters I would think more about the trans. Which transm does the van have? (I suspect the 4R70W)
Hey oleg. I have a 97 E-150 5.4L High Top Conversion Van with 190,000 miles and it still pulls my 6000lbs travel trailer plus gear plus 5 people with no issues.
