Barely any brakes
If I pump my pedal it will get had then let sit and nothing again
Not losing fluid and have bled the $(-)it out of them
Thinking a booster or master cylinder?????
Any input?
Thinking bout just changing both
The booster looks in bad shape on the outside
Easy way to test the master is to get some line clamps and clamp the hoses off. One going to each front wheel, and one going to the rear axle. Don't need to go crazy tightening down the clamps here either. Pedal should be hard. If not, master is bad or you have a leak. Remove one of the clamps to isolate the pressure loss. Sometimes if you look closely at the back of the master where it bolts to the booster you will see brake fluid running down the booster. This happens when the seal in the master begins to leak. Make sure the master is actually bad before you replace it. Also, if you do replace it get a new one, not a reman. It'll cost more, but they usually come with a reservoir and are of better quality. I've seen three bad Cardone (Car Don't) reman masters in a row. If I am handed one at work to install I give it back and ask for a new one unless the customer specifies a reman.
Leaking wheel cylinders will definitely cause a low/soft pedal, as they aren't holding pressure any longer. Verify that the front caliper pistons retract the way they should and there's no leakage from the seals. No sense in replacing a working part; I've seen many rebuilt calipers fail due to poor materials or just being "cheap". Usually "Re-manufactured In Mexico" is on the box.
Well that's where my headache is
Is that I'm not losing fluid
But I'm gettin lucky and i have someone who offered to pay to have it all redone and have new parts if I haul his horses for him and all he has to pay is the diesel
So I plan on changing it all
