need some measurments please!!

im piecing together parts for my s10, and i need some measurments on some things.

first, a D60 axle with 35s and 4-5 inch backspacing.

second, a set of f250 or f350 front leaf springs. i need the length (front to back) of the leaf spring. i need a measurement of it on the truck and off the truck.

im building a chevy s10 on 350 axles with a 12v under the hood, and im trying to figure out where the back shackle will be...

well, i love diesels. especially the cummins. and i ran across the picture below the other day on the s10 forums so i thought.. what the hell. noone else has done it. at least not with a 12v. so ill box the frame and slap some beefy axles underneath and call it a day

WTF! You're posting to a Ford truck forum and asking us to help you build a Chevy!?!

Good luck with that....

X2

Why not post this in the chevy forum where you found that truck....seems like that guys have everything you need, and he seems to share a common interest in the idea.

Hey bud, we don't want to run you away. Just your truck

Really, it could worse. You could be using a Toyota body

Buy hey, at least your using Ford parts on that thing. That's one step in the right direction. Now you just got to swap the frame rails from a F350, swap the body for a Ranger, and swap the engine for a PSD and you didn't say what rear axle but I figure a 80 or a 14 bolt. Swap that for a Sterling. Then you'll be on the path of enlightenment...

i know im stuck with it tho. ima die hard ford guy, and when i can afford one, ill be hauling this thing around on the back of an F350 PSD but for now.... big s10 it is.

and i was asking here because noone on the chevy forums has a f250/350 sitting in their driveway to go measure. and im sure someone has a set of stock springs laying around after a lift too. and you guys are WAY WAY nicer then anyone on the cheby forum.

i miss my fords

Ford did use the Dana 60 rear, 70 rear and the 80 rear.
And screw the psd unless it's out of an IH I'm to lazy to wire in a computer, so how bout an IDI, or a Ford (New Holland) diesel?

By the way, SKY Manufacturing has the hanger placed 52" from the shackle mount on there RSKs.

By the way, if you need the unloaded length I can measure that, have the Dana 60 with leaves sitting in the barn waiting for my F250, and have a set of F250 leaves sitting there.

Sorry about the wait, I've been busy.
F350=51.75"
F250=53"
Both are unloaded.
