need a part number

need a part# for a 1981 ford f350 w/5.8
i need the lower clutch release rod part# please my book only goes to 72.......

I believe you want this:

E0TZ-7521-A Clutch Release Rod

But not 100% sure...

Goes from the Clutch Pedal Bellcrank through toeboard to Equalizer Bar

I'm going to have numberdummy do a check on this though.

OP sez this is the rod he needs:

E3TZ-7521-A (replaced EOTZ-7521-B) .. Clutch Release Rod-From Equalizer Bar to Clutch Fork / Obsolete

D3TZ-7A504-A .. Extension-Clutch Release Rod / Use with E3TZ-7521-A / Obsolete

Prior years (1965/79), the extensions came with the rods. Dunno about 1980/83, cuz the parts catalog doesn't say one way or t'other.

Applications: 1980/83 F100/350, Bronco & Econoline.

WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has 1 = 606-787-5293.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 24 = 800-476=9653.

Do not buy this extension, before asking who you buy the rod from...if it comes with it.

NOTE: Look at the rod (E0TZ-7521-A) from the clutch pedal to E-bar...has two 90 degree ends.

The two nylon bushings (D8TZ-7526-B) disintigrate, the ends of the rods begin to crack, eventually snap off. Not pleasant!

hey dummy how do you like the 5.0 in your truck?
ive got an 07 with a 5.4 and am thinking of getti a new one just dont know if i wanna do the ecoboost or the 5.0

Runs like a striped azzed ape.

The 5.4L I had in my 2004 Lariat's get up and go...got up and went.

Consider: How long will the Eco Boost 216 cid V6 last in a truck that weighs almost three tons...without driver, passengers, mutts and cargo?

Be prepared for sticker shock! The elephantine behemoth in my sig pic was $39,990.00 MSRP. Another member is thinking about a similar truck, but with Eco Boost, 4WD and other stuff: $59,000.00!

ohh im aware alright..... not sure how long id keep the new one for either as i bought this one new and it was 42000. only has 31000 miles as of right now. been a good truck though

My 1973 did this to me twice in it's life. The 1981 so far, knock on wood. However since you mention it, I have heard a new noise from my clutch linkage in just the past month that comes and goes. Going to inspect it for this very thing.
