phantom radio
ok now I'm not the best mechanic in the world but I'm not an idiot. I have a 2002 escape 3.0 AT it has 127000 miles. It's been a super car for a while but now its having some troubles.Usually nothing I can't fix, until now.
it recently had some trouble with a COP and my wife parked it for a week until i could look at it. went o start it and the battery was dead. n problem figured cold weather so ijumped it and took it to my bro-in-law's garage and worked on it. when done took it for a test drive and all was well until i turned it off. got out shut the door and the radio came on. tried it a few more times with the same result. I'm kinda figuring this is what killed the battery. here is where I the help of all the guru's on this site. I hope it's something simple and you can call me a dummy, but i'm doubtful.
PLEASE HELP been dropping cash in this thing and cant afford much more.

A sticking relay could supply radio power. The GEM is supposed to provide power after the key is turned to OFF via a relay.
When you had the battery run down, it may have caused the GEM to forget what it was supposed to do, or allowed some of the programmable settings to change.
