Guys I keep getting P0236 Turbo Boost Sensor A Circuit Performance. I'll get it 1-2 a month and when I get it My MPG's drop. Do I have a bad MAP ?

There is no difference with it plugged or unplugged

Could be ...

0236 = Detected high boost signal at low idle. (Restricted MAP line.)

Check for restriction in the MAP line, or just replace it.

Will do. How would a bad/clogged like cause high boost at idle

I guess I'm going to have to pursue this as well. My truck has done it since day one with aftermarket injectors. I can clear it and it will come back after a few weeks. CEL doesn't come on, but when you scan for codes it comes up.

That's what mine does but I had it before the injectors

I get it quite a bit also. I just don't worry about it as the truck is running fine, normal boost.

I'll let you or Travis see what comes of it, then I'll maybe do something about it if necessary. I'm not too worried.

Well the only reason I'm trying to deal with it is I have a bog. If I slowly get into the go pedal it's fine but if I try to gun it it will bog down and boost slow till I let out some and then it will pick I've checked everything but the fuel pressure under a load it's 65psi at idle

I wouldn't know if mine does that or not I guess. I never get after it that hard, too scared of the tranny. I'm going racer x way for parts also, but don't want to do it now as I can't afford to right now.

Mine is also taking longer to spool at WOT than it did at first. I'm going to change my MAP line this weekend and see if that helps. I've unplugged the MAP before and didn't notice much, if any, difference except a CEL.

Alright Mike, stupid question for me now. Is this what is called the black sensor or the gray sensor? The brackets gray and the part of the plug remaining in it is black. I'm assuming the sensor itself is the black one? I should really get a new gray one if that is the case.
