I was alittle bored this weekend so I was looking for places to add some more spikes. It's a good thing I added the taller bumpstops...they will hit the traction bar axle mount before the spikes hit the bottom of the cab.
SICK!! I'd remove them before any offroading though, just in case the bump stops flex...not that your lift would ever let the axle hit the bump stops anyway!

Yeah, imagine if the bumpstop failed ugh!
These are more for the show/shine days. I bored the center of the spikes so they fit snug over the nuts and used 2 set screws to cinch them down. This way if I need to move them to another location I'm not binded to the threads of the u-bolts.
Not bad for $15 of aluminum round bar and a few hours playin on the lathe...lol!

You ever think of making round caps or other designs and selling to us? Or would that take away from the uniqueness?

Hmmmm....never really thought about that.
I'm really a novice at this machinist trade. My good friend owns a machine shop in Avenel NJ...I'll throw him a plug in-case anyone has used him before. He's been slowly showing me how to fab stuff up.
