Happy gauge temps?

Just finished installing my guages..

What temps should I be looking for?

EGT - (installed in the normal drivers manifold place, the sensor is about 5/8" inside the manifold) started it up and let it run for a few minutes - reached 320 on 1200rpm idle (dp-tuner fast idle)

If I recall right, to let it shut down safely, I should keep it running until it drops to at least 400 or lower.

Trans - ? (was rebuilt in 2007 to replace 2nd gear and had a new TC as well if that matters)

Fuel - stays about 67PSI on startup and idle. Drops a shade under high rev.

Boost - still not hooked up, waiting on the tapped AIH delete plug from Clay. (Darn post office, took 13 days so far from Oregon to Vancouver and now it needs to go all across the country to me in Prince Edward Island).. But on another note, it took 3 days to move 7 miles LOL, should be here by August lol

What numbers should I see that would make me either fix whats wrong if its low, or pull over if its too high?

Trucks a 2001 with the 7.3

Thanks!

Well, your Pyro will probably sit around 550-600 most of the time you're driving, but will go up and down based on acceleration. On a hard accel you will see it go up to 1100 or 1200 quickly, but as soon as you let off it will drop to 800 and work it's way back down to 600-ish within 20-30 seconds (depending on ambient temp).

Tranny? Geez, I guess I rarely see mine above 130. It's so low I don't really pay attention to it. I never tow anything, so that's just a normal driving reading.

Thanks!

I took it for a drive in running errands, the pryo idles at about 300- drives between 400-500 ( if I am accelerating, about 2k rpm it is about 600).

I put the 140HP extreme (dp tuner) on for a second taking off from a light, the EGTS jumped to about 1000 pretty quick lol

The tranny seems to be happy at city/town driving at about 110-120.

Fuel never dropped below 65 even on acceration and would go up to about 74 idling.

Its sure nice to be able to keep an eye on things.
