So here is my Manual Gauge spreads, are these acceptable? This is during normal driving on 50mph back roads that are hilly with lots of curves. Somtimes my SGII shows 180 ECT and 200 EOT, buy my gauges always seem more consistent. Any opinions?
The ECT/EOT spread spec. is taken at the factory sensor location. Analog sensor data would need to be read at those locations to have a direct correlation. If your ECT is only 180 by SGII then you need a thermostat.
Either close doesn't cut it or you still need a t-stat. Was the new one a Ford product?Hilly also doesn't cut it. You need to be on level grond with the engine totally heat saturated. 15 to 20 miles at high way speeds. If your on hills and curves the temps will be chasing each other.
