wicked wheel.
buddy of mine purchased a 96 F350 Crew cab long bed that hes parting out. the engine seems to run alright but if there isn't any interest in the motor when hes done parting it out he told me if it has the turbo wheel i need that i can have it for storing the truck and helping take it apart. just wondering how i can identify the wheel and what is the benefit of this part in my 00 f250

The blades of the wheel will be more abstract and not symetrical in pitch on a early wheel. Where as the late wheels all of the blade heights are the same and even appearance. The benefit would be reduced turbo surge, if you are experiencing any some do some don't. The reduction in surge is due to a slightly less airflow and slightly more turbulent flow.
