I have a 03 F350 SD. I was looking under the hood a saw a strange valve in my line that goes to the heater core. What is ? How does it work? Is It good to have it on my new SD? I hope some one out there knows what this thing is?
ive heard of some guys putting in a valve to shut off the coolant going to the heater core to make the a/c colder. i dont think that it is needed because the a/c already spits out ice cubes but i guess that it would work. my a/c is cold enough even for texas
The news that I am getting is that with that valve in the heater core line. On Max A/C it shuts off the coolant flow to the heater core. On the max a/c you can go fromcold to hot, with no change it the air temp from the vents. I have this on my 03 SD. But the temp still works. It will get hot, on the hot setting. I talked to the dealership, they said that in works the way it's suppose to. But this mod shuts down coolant in the max a/c setting. It is the same thing. Why does ford's valve act different? Some one must know the answer. I hope I could get my point across.
