You have the 6.4 or the 6.7? Your profile indicates a 6.4.

by your turbo barking..can you be more discriptive? Is it non responsive, no boost? Or making noise like a dry bearing?

had an 08 f-450 but it didn't bark. other problems caused me to trade to an 11. the 11 is the one that barks. cruising at 40-45 on a slight uphill pull, the sound comes from the right front of the pickup. sounds like a deep throated gargle. the pickup also chuggs like standard shift gasoline vehicle in high gear going slow.

I had this happen once, like it needed to downshift but didn't.

exactly. i can manually downshift to stop it. but i should not have to do that for an expensive and new pickup.

There are alot of TSB's out there for the 6.7 tranny. Some are just to try a reflash and others are to replace soliends. Trouble is without codes you maynot get them to look at it.

suggest you talk with an SA at your dealer and see what he says. Maybe you can get a ride along and verify the concern.

This has been a consistent issue (very minor) since the day I bought the truck. I have the perfect incline within the last mile of my house, so I hit it every day. The speed limit is 40mph and it's a common speed trap, so I'm always going 40-45mph. Happens every single time. I've just gotten used to locking out 6th gear on that road.

My service department told me it was a known issue and Ford was working on a fix, but I haven't followed up on it in a few months.

I don't think they have a fix.
