I've found that the free caps are more comfortable than ones I've purchased.
My four current running caps:
1. Favorite music group $20 (I had to get this one)
2. Radio station cap $free
3. Mt. Dew cap $free
4. Minnesota Timberwolves $5
When I was still on the farm, I had a box full. Whatever happened to caps with the mesh in back? I can't find any around here.

Personally , i wear baseball type caps all the time. I...don't think Anybody looks Cool that is spouting All that "Rapp Crapp" with their hat "ON" backwards , regardless of their color. That's supposed too be Music...not in my book...i'll stop here before I say more than I should... fd

Whenever I go to California, I go through Death Valley, just to stop at the store there, to buy another Death Valley hat. I have quite a few of them now, and wear them often. When not wearing such hats I wear a cowboy hat.

Being a farmer I get all sorts of "free" hats (usually after buying a ton of seed or something along those lines). The last one I got was different from the standard baseball-type in that it had a brim all around, like a fedora, almost. It has ventilation holes and is camoflauge. Most of the time, though, I wear a Ford tractor cap that I got when I bought a tractor from a Ford/New Holland dealer.
Truckers who load out of the warehouse I work at give me plenty of them, too. I give most of them away, since we're not supposed to take any gifts from truckers... not wanting to show any favoritism, I suppose.
I have an old straw cowboy hat for summer farm work, and a black Resistol Cattleman's cowboy hat for dressing up.
In the winter, I wear a Carhartt Gore-Tex baseball-style hat with fold-down earflaps, or more rarely, a stocking cap.
