Just curious; does it pull to one side or the other? When I first go mine- it didn't pull at all, and the steering wheel was dead on straight if I was going straight, now after about 5500 miles, the steering wheel is actually turned right a little when I'm going straight, it doesn't pull much unless I am on the highway, then it will want to wander a little depending on what lane I am in. I'm going in Weds. To the dealer for a previously scheduled appt. I'll mention it and see what they do.

According to the little tire book of life that came with your owners manual, you are supposed to rotate the tires every 7500 miles by a reputable tire dealer. Secondly, FOMOCO warranties the front end alignment and shocks for the first 12,000 miles. And only then, if you have proof that you've rotated your tires properly.

I had issues with my alignment at 5000+ miles and took it to the dealer and they rotated my tires and sent me to an alignment shop. FOMOCO paid the bill for the alignment, I paid for the rotate. Then right at 12,000 miles, I had more shimmy issues and they paid for a second alignment and I paid for the second rotation.

I think alignment has a very short period of warrantee, (Edit: I see the milage in the post right above this one, he must have been posting as I was typing lol) also I'd be surprised if a dealer had a big enough rack to put a super duty on for alignment. I usually have to go to a truck center to get it done. But your dealer probably has someone they use regularly. Most do.

If you still have the original Rancho shocks on it, I would suspect those first. Mine was started pulling to the right and I put on a set of Bilstiens and it is straight as an arrow now.

I don't have the Rancho's though- it's a Lariat, not FX4. Haven't seen anyone talking about them being crap, but they may well be. I would blame it on the heavier springs I put in, but it was happening before that anyway. Holsteins are on the list, but I need to recover from Christmas first. Lol

My front tires are cupping to and i think I have a slight pull. I guess I can bring it into the dealership to have them take a look. I hate to do that since the truck really doesn't need any work.

I have 5k on my truck. Its pretty easy to see the cupping with the road salt now.

On my 05 super duty I purchased a lifetime alignment from Firestone and used it multiple times throughout the time I owned the truck. I want to say I paid $140.00 for it.

I'm glad you posted that. I was going to look up Holstien shocks when I finished reading this thread.

For those of you with newer trucks - there are several threads about the Rancho shocks that came on the FX4 stock. They are crap. The dealer changed mine twice, that's three sets I had. They all lost their seals. I finally bought Bilstiens and have had no problems. A lot of people on here have been happy with Rancho 9000XL adjustables also.
