Well I just finished ordering 2 more sets of tappet wrenches
after one broke .
Failed attempt to weld little bity tab back on.
Anybody got any words of pity or wisdom?
Where are you getting them from? I want to make sure not to buy the same ones. ;-)
Do they all come from the same place, or do different vendors sell different brands?
The broken one came from my engine parts supplier,don't know where he got it from
it,s not polite to ask.
This was one of the stamped steel rigs to keep the tappet from spinning while
I turn the adjusting screw with my 7/16" SNAP ON tappet wrench . The tab that engages
the hole in tappet snapped off.
I've seen that type of wrench that uses dowels instead of bent tabs to engage the lifter, but they all seem to be problematic. I thought you were talking about this kind of tappet wrench:
