Honestly, I wouldn't buy any aftermarket brush guards or bumpers. You'd be better off building one yourself. It'll be a lot cheaper and you can make it a lot stronger.

and you can design it as you like so if you want a special accessory you can ensure it is put on

Precisely. like a winch mount, or, "I like to get stuck" hooks, or the kitchen sink. whatever you prefer.

i ronicially I have a friend who wanted to design a bumper that contained a sink.....seriously...that kinda wiered me out....LOL...but hey its true, Im thinking of designing one thats styled after the Baja bumpers with the winch mount and fogs in it (say two forward facing and two that are able to act as aux lights or turn lamps in newer cars to loight the corner as you turn...but hey thats the good thing about making your own or working with someone...its your design...oh and im thinking its time to start designing the rear bumper....

I picked up one at the local pick-n-pull junk yard in just about perfect condition for $60 or so.
It is till shiny chrome and hugs the front of the truck. Bolts to front of bumper and loops back behind bumper. Appears to be 1/8" pipe with nicely fomed ends.
I like the model because it looks like it belongs on a pickup.
Grill guards are very common in North Texas some can be very massive, they all cost the same at the JY.

the jcw stuff is there, but it is a kit you have to buy the headlamp loops seperate from the main brushguard. the one for mine cost just shy of 200 .

I can usually find one here at the local pull a part if im lucky, ive been wanting to pull one but would have to figure what I want to do with my current bumper...but still trying to decide if i want to custom make something (most likely) or just pull one off a truck in the bone yard...

Keep an eye on Criagslist. Saw a beastly Ranch-Hand guard on a truck and sent the guy an e-mail asking if he'd sell Just the guard. $200 later it was mine. Works for me! Since they are over $600+ shipping new.

These guys make the best looking Bumpers IMHO. A bit pricey but they are very well built. They have a model just for the 87-91's also.
