Hey guys i got a ? I been lookin around for brush gaurds and aftermarket bumpers for 91 150 and i know that there is a difference but will 92 and newer stuff fit without lookin like crap lol. J C whitney use to carry brush guards but i cant seem to find nothin for the 91 help or suggestions please i havent got the truck yet but already gettin ready with my list lol...Thanks Jake
Honestly, I wouldn't buy any aftermarket brush guards or bumpers. You'd be better off building one yourself. It'll be a lot cheaper and you can make it a lot stronger.
it all depends, i picked one out of a scrap yard for $30 that was on an earlier model, but after i did alittle fabricating it fit right on, all depends how much you wanna spend

and you can design it as you like so if you want a special accessory you can ensure it is put on
Precisely. like a winch mount, or, "I like to get stuck" hooks, or the kitchen sink. whatever you prefer.
i ronicially I have a friend who wanted to design a bumper that contained a sink.....seriously...that kinda wiered me out....LOL...but hey its true, Im thinking of designing one thats styled after the Baja bumpers with the winch mount and fogs in it (say two forward facing and two that are able to act as aux lights or turn lamps in newer cars to loight the corner as you turn...but hey thats the good thing about making your own or working with someone...its your design...oh and im thinking its time to start designing the rear bumper....
I picked up one at the local pick-n-pull junk yard in just about perfect condition for $60 or so.
It is till shiny chrome and hugs the front of the truck. Bolts to front of bumper and loops back behind bumper. Appears to be 1/8" pipe with nicely fomed ends.
I like the model because it looks like it belongs on a pickup.
Grill guards are very common in North Texas some can be very massive, they all cost the same at the JY.
Just curious but can a exhaust bender bend bigger stuff like 1/8 to 1/4 onch stuff i've been around them alot but never seen nothin bigger than exhaust being bent lol... and thanks for the respond

I can usually find one here at the local pull a part if im lucky, ive been wanting to pull one but would have to figure what I want to do with my current bumper...but still trying to decide if i want to custom make something (most likely) or just pull one off a truck in the bone yard...
Yea i thought JCW stuff was pieces you put together think ill try and build one later i have to get the truck first lol. I dont know about where you all live but the price of junk went sky high around here last year and everybody even junkyards sold off everything i havent been to one in a long time but anyhow alot of these older truck got crushed and prolly 30% of them were drivin right to the crusher it was sad to see if i was rich i would have bought them all and had all the parts id ever need lol thanks for the picture also
Keep an eye on Criagslist. Saw a beastly Ranch-Hand guard on a truck and sent the guy an e-mail asking if he'd sell Just the guard. $200 later it was mine. Works for me! Since they are over $600+ shipping new.
Ya i agree but for the prices i have seen on all of them i think ill try and build one you can almost buy a welder and the metal for what the are askin for 1 bumper lol i need a welder anyhow and a new grinder lol...... edgethis that a good lookin bronco
