3" trailmaster 99 mazda b4000

hey, i just bought a 3" trailmaster body lift for my mazda truck, im pretty much new to the offroad upgrades, i know for the most part what im doing, but does anyone have any tips before i get started? i dont think ill be able to do anything till tuesday...

and, what size tires can i go on a mazda b4000 with a 3" lift, its got the stock 31" now...

and when i go to order shocks, and they ask for make and model, does it matter that my truck is lifted?

and how do i take my front bumper off?

appreciate it in advance....

w w w . truckstuffandmore.com/tirefitment.htm It appears that you can fit 32-33" (based on ranger specs, couldnt seem to find anything on Mazda). Have you checked Trailmasters site for any specs related to your question? Air tools make installation much easier (I wouldnt tackle one without them). It also helps to identify what everything is in your lift, and lay them out, mock the installation basically. As for shocks, do you plan on purchasing Trailmaster shocks? Yes, it does matter that your truck is lifted. You will need longer shocks with altered damping for your app. I dont know what your bumper exactly looks like, but normally its only a couple of bolts holding it to the frame or crumple zone. You have to disconnect any sort of sensors (and I would unhook the battery before you do any of this incase you setoff that expensive airbag).

Guess I neglected to see that you bought a 'body lift'. I thought it was a suspension lift. You do realize that you are probably going to have to alter the fan shroud, adjust some cables, brake lines, possibly alter or bend you manual 4x4 shifter (if equipped), and a few other things? As for shocks, no. You would only need longer shocks if your suspension is altered. That body lift will not give you any more ground clearance. It only allows for larger tires. What I said before about the bumper should still hold true.

im actually not worried about frame ground clearance, its always my doorsills and bumpers that scrape the ground when im wheelin.... its electronic 4x4 shifter, and automatic transmission... the fan shroud, is this a major mod? or will it just take some cutting?

I dont know how the shroud has to be altered, if at all, on the ranger/mazda. You might want to post to the ranger forum. I dont know much about them. Someone there has probably installed a body lift.
