Bouncing Speedometer

Hey guys my 77 speedo just starting bouncing. I am hoping it might just be bad cables. I have the aftermarket cruise thats on the turnsignal switch. I have two cables so do you think if I replace them it will solve my problem or do you think it might be the speedo. I t has bounced before but at about 65 and over. If it is the speedo is there people that rebuild them because I have seen them new but for over $400.00. Thank you for the help

It's most likely the cable. Take the inner cable out of the cable housing and clean then lubricate it with graphite. Should give you years of new service unless the inner cable is damaged; you will know once it is out. It comes out thru the top after un-clipping the trans drive gear.
