Will a 17 degree pump work in place of a 15 degree pump?
The biggest problem with the E99s is the 15° degree HPOP swashplate. Even a good stock 17° HPOP is a heck of an improvement, especially at higher RPMS.
The 7.3 HPOP is a seven piston axial pump. The swashplate angle determines the length of each pistons stroke and the greater the angle the longer the stroke and the larger the volume of oil that gets pumped, which is what causes the higher pressure of the oil. Also the larger the volume of oil that gets pumped the higher the sustainable pressure, ICP vs IPR duty cycle.
RIFF RAF shows the E99 as a 15 degree pump. Is that what I should order?
My truck is an E99 and probably has an 15 degree pump so I just wondered if getting a latter 17 degree pump would be an improvement.
Maybe Clay will give me some advice here.
I notice that the price is the same.
The selection isn't for what you get it is so we know what you are sending in and what fittings to put on it for the HPOP lines. All T500 pumps are the same except the fittings.
