There is a way to tell whats wrong by counting the blinks. On my truck it's the passenger on/off switch light that was bad. Not sure if your Ex has that or not. I think you can look it up in the manual.

may be the clock spring .does the cruise control work?
mine does the same thing and my cruise control doesnt work. so its the clock spring i have to replace.
do a "search" on clock spring replacement. i believe there is also a member here who sells them a good price.
