Unless something good happens in the next week I'm out. Been scraping along all winter with next to no money but now the govt decided to send me a $250 tax bill so unless something happens between now and then I'm out. First NEST meet I've ever missed.

Well, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I can't make it either. We have a move going on at work, to a new station, that week/weekend. I've been trying everything I could to get the time off, but it's just not happening. Really sucks for me...
The good news is that last night I got a call from the hotel across the street from the shop. I was on a waiting list just in case. They said they had some cancellations and have some rooms available for that weekend, if anyone is interested.

Cool, I think we'll do that on Thursday - at least the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, etc and maybe take a ferry over to Battery Park and venture into the city from there. I have to pick up some oil in Newark - this was scheduled for Fri AM, but if we can do it Thursday we may just head back up to Vernon with you after our city adventures. 
Oh, we have to get something from Carlo's Bakery (Hoboken) for the kids' teachers. Turns out its easy to bribe teachers - if ya know their weak spots!
Not that I think there is ANYTHING they make in that place worth standing in line for 45min's, but if it gets the kid outta school for a couple of days...
