I just installed a new pump for the windshield washer in my 67 F250. It sprays 1 solid stream right in the middle of the winshield ( passenger and driver side). The flow is good, but there is no spray pattern. Is this typical? Has anybody tried to pinch the nozzles to get a spray pattern?
Reminds me of yrs back when used to fill the washer tank with up with a few cans of upper cyl lube and run the hose to the carb. That stuff would make your car smoke like the batmobile. ( with a push of the washer button)
Try driving about 80mph, you'll get a nice pattern then. Barry [/B]
Reminds me of when I lived in Newport Beach. I saw a 300ZX spray washer fluid over the top of his car, all over a Benz behind him going up the 405 at about 100 mph. To say the least, the Benz driver was not happy and a full fledged chase ensued.....probably ended in a road rage shooting. Those Californians are crazy.
I knew a guy in college who would pump oil into his exhaust system while he was at a traffic light when he wanted to cloud the guy behind him at a stop light with smoke when he took off. Sounds like your idea with the windshield washer is a much "cleaner" approach to that same effect.

Somebody must have taken it off--see if the switch is still on your dash just to the right of the headlight switch. It would definitely be a good addition to your truck if you don't have one.
In the SW we definitely need them to make it easier to keep the film of dust off the windshield that seems to be there anew every day.
Who knows, like the other post in this thread, you may want to drag main with some upper cylinder lubricant in it plumbed into the top of your carb!
