ignition cylinder lock
Need to draw on the forum's expertise. I own a 06 F350 6.0 and the ignition cylinder lock has a lot of slop in it. On several occasions I've gone out to a dead battery because my son used the truck and wasn't careful when he turned it off. Decided to replace the cylinder for 112.00 but Ford wants an additional 145.00 to match my current key to the new cylinder lock. Has anyone on the forum experienced something similar and is there another option? I've searched and can't find a thread that covers this. Not saying it's not there but with my limited computer skills I didn't find it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
