I used it on my S-10 and my Fiero(practicing up to paint my F100). I had trouble laying it on correctly and I ended up with more runs than I would have liked. I'm a relative amateur (my 3rd and 4th vehicles), I shot them in my driveway (just like my F100), and the weather was quite hot, so I shot them first thing in the morning. So, if you have more experience, a better set-up, and more forgiving temperatures, you might do better. After I used the Summit paint, I shot my F100 with Eastwood's single stage, and I'm MUCH happier with the results of that shoot.

Hey carnut, I saw your pics in your gallery. Is that just a single stage and no clear coat? It looks pretty shiny. Looks great. I'm thinking about using eastwood single stage when the time comes.
I used Eastwood single stage urethane on mine and like it. I am still undecided on whether to shoot clear coat on top of it, but leaning on not. I am an amateur with automotive paint, but have shot many hundreds of gallons of lacquer on furniture and cabinets.
Summit Brand paint is rebranded Kirker paint and I think so is Eastwood's. If you buy some I'd recommend buying Kirker it's a little cheaper. The base/color coverage is not as good as higher end lines but comparable to the big boys cheaper lines PPG Omni, Dupont Nason, etc. I always like to shoot clear over my single stage jobs.I always have better gloss and depth after and then have plenty to cut and buff later.
Kirker's clear is not bad but I think PPG's Omni AU clear is much better for similar kind of money. So if you decided to shoot clear over it I recommend going to PPG Omni AU clear. This is a really good budget combination.
If you want you could goto SPI's clear which is nice for the money but be warned just like all the other very good clears it's not as user friendly as something like the Omni or Kirker clear.
