The GMC is as good as gone. New primary vehicle is a 2002 Kia Sportage 4x4. Now looking for an older 80-86 F250 4x4 to fix up and use around the "farm". I'm almost back into the HD/Super Duty fold!
Hmmm:From a Superduty to a GMC Then Threw the GMC under the bus for a KIA WOW!! Ann Landers would have recommended consoling Have to stop this downward trend as it is getting out of hand!!
NoMo,
There is hope for you. My local Ford dealer is also a Kia dealer. Maybe a trade up is in order soon
At least you're off the "oil" and on the "gas"
LOL- I used to think the same kinds of things until I started researching them. The Sportage seems to be one TOUGH little "truck". It has a live rear axle, two-speed transfer case, body-on-frame construction, skid plates, gets fair fuel mileage and is pretty decent off-road from what I've found. Just look at some of these guy's rigs. Granted, it won't tow a house, but it sure is high on the "fun to drive" scale. And, for less than the price of a stainless steel Super Duty exhaust system, you can build a Kia to do this.
But don't worry too much. I really am looking for an older Ford truck.
I went to both of those sites and got nothing Then I started sniffing around and went looking for a KIA forum and found they really have one And their was a post by NOMO,I just got this strange feeling ,like when they found out what M. Jackson was really doing when no one was looking.
I am sure there is help out there to get you back to the land of big trucks
When I opened the Thread I was eating some popcorn and almost choked myself to death. Wow. its almost as bad as a Harley Guy looking at a Honda??.. Oh well, i'm back to normal now. I know that we all fall on hardtimes but I think that almost qualifies for federal assistance.
Hey, I noticed that one of the off-road mags named the Kia a runner up in their 4x4 of the year contest. However, I personally would never be caught dead in one. And I do mean dead. My wife thinks I should trade down to one of those econo-boxes and sell my 02 diesel with big-a** lift, tool box and stuff. She got really serious one day about it and I asked her if my truck was worth whatever she would get in child support and alimony. I am happy to report that she conceded that our marriage was far more important than my vehicle choice. I love my wife and would hate to see something like that come between us but some things have to be defended.
