I found a 1970 lincoln w/ a 460 at the local junkyard, and a 1977 2 wheel 3/4 ton w/a 460 in a guys backyard. The truck runs but is said to smoke real bad, the car does not run at all. Both have DOVE C heads on them. They each cost $100.00, should I buy? Does anyone know if the truck engine could be original?I have a 78 250 that I just blown an exhaust valve in, I need another engine.

Sounds like a hell of a deal to me. A set of DOVE heads an fetch a pretty penny if bought off E-Bay or the like.

 

If you don't buy both of them,Please tell me where they are.

 

....if they are both D0VE heads. The truck engine has had the heads or the entire engine replaced at one time.

I was at a swapmeet yesterday. The D0VE heads there were going for $175.00, and they were bare castings so I would grab those up if I were you.

Also as phantom said they sell like crazy on ebay too.
