My SuperCab Build.

Red, I own a hotrod shop so I know my way around as well. Everything from chassis, to engines, to body and paint. Mostly street cars, but every now and then we get something interesting. I'm pretty sure the next build from scratch will be my "last hurrah" before this broke body of mine gives out all together. I want to build Earthquake III. I've been promising myself two more builds, I think this one and the Chevelle will be the last however.

Got my seats for the supercab, had them stitched up like the original Lariat seat in my black truck. The rear one isnt supposed to be two tone in a real Lariat, but I think it will be cool. I have Lariat door panels in red / white, and thanks to a junkyard tip from grinnergetter, I also have a factory Lariat headliner, vanity sunvisor and a Lariat glovebox door! I also got the red molded to fit carpet in the other day, cant wait to get it painted so I can put all the interior in!

Wow, nice job on shortening the frame and bed. I bet it will look good when the color is applied.
Kinda wish I was closer, looks like you wind up with a lot of LWB trim that has no place to fit on the trucks after they're done. Around here, I haven't had much luck locating a useable LWB upper trim molding, and shipping a piece that size can be be pricey thanks to the nearly 8 ft length.

Good to watch a pro at work.
If you don't mind I would like to ask a couple of questions.
1 - once a panel has been welded in what do you use to smooth the joint? Grinding wheel, sanding flapper disk (what grit).....
2 - do you do anything to the backside of the panel?
3 - once you get it cleaned up after the initial welding do you go back and fill in defects with welds again or just fill them with body filler?
Thanks in advance.
