starting issue.

1987 f-250, 5.0 4 speed manual.

here it is, this hunting season i took my truck to the cabin. all is well.... i noticed though over the past few weeks when i go to start it, it will hit like its going to start then nothing, hit again real quick nothing and hit and crank and start. But on other occasions it will hit crank and start right up. the battery is new, and im really not sure where to start to track down this issue.

the truck does sit around outside alot in between use. but i dont want her to fail during use away from home on me. THANKS FOR ANY HELP ON THIS!

Loose/dirty battery terminals. Burnt/corroded battery wires. Loose battery ground wire connection where it bolts to engine. Loose wire connections at starter (check light gauge wire connection).
