I just noticed on my truck (2005) that the front bumper is pushed in further on the drivers side than the passenger side. On the drivers side the bumper is actually touching where it bolts to the frame, and on the passenger side there is maybe a 1/2" of clearance. I inspected the bumper mounts and it looks the same as the passenger side, no obvious damage. Looking at the bumper it looks straight as well, no obvious bends as well. I highly doubt the frame is bent either as its probably the strongest area on the truck.
My question, I am guessing the brackets are a weak point but I am not 100% sure, is this true?? I could always purchase a new drivers side bracket and see what happens. This is the first I noticed the push inward bumper, I have noticed that the upper area of the bumper where it meets the fender is more upward on the drivers side. I tried to adjust it and it seems like no matter what I do the drivers side always ends up higher than the passenger side.
these brackets have elongated holes for adjusting the the bumper for fit and finish. I am going to assume that since you just noticed it, its not that far off, if you want to fix it, before you buy anything just loosen the bolts and try to move it around for perfect fit and finish.

You can adjust it up and down, that is not the problem, its more of a rotation problem, like as if the bottom of the drivers side is rotating inward. Its like the bottom bolt on the drivers side needs a 1/4"+ spacer under it
