The short beds are VERY hard to find. I found this one for $500.00, but it has a little damage around the tail lights. Please look at the pics and let me know if I should buy it. Thanks alot.
its a old truck with old rusty parts. we as dent owners are lucky to find parts close enough to pick up at any cost. do you like flat beds? if not 500 is a great price. the bed looks fine and easy to repair from the pics.
i know i would pay 2 grand if my dent needed a bed but i really really like my dent now that its a snow pushing high boy.
I'm in Dallas and I'll tell you SWB are hard to find. There's a guy in Ennis that has a cherry one for $950. Also there a complete SWB f150 west of ft. Worth for $1000. For $500 I think it's a little high, however they are hard to find. Maybe someone with some body shop experience can chime in about the repairablilty of that tailight area.

Yea, You have to search basically all of Tx, also you have to search many different ways; 73-79 Ford, 1973-1979 Ford, even enter the individual years. You would be surprised how people list their stuff for sale. The bed I got was listed as a "1970's ford short wide". Here's the two items I mentioned in my post;

Sure, go ahead and call. I am trying to get all the leads on them I can. Thanks alot.
WOW! If that wrinkled metal was the toughest job I ever had to do, I'd be in great shape! Once the tail lights are out, those wrinkles should dolly out pretty easily. At least it isn't rotted to nothing. $500 is steep, but no bed at all sucks. Converting a long bed to a short bed is TEN TIMES the work it is to fix that bed. Only you can answer if that bed is right for you or not. If it were me, I'd jump on it.
