NO way you guys have to deal with as many as us. The violence in mexico has thinned the numbers some, but not a lot.

Worst part is, all the wealthy people moving north. They are very disrespectful and do not pick up after themselves. They are accustomed to being waited on hand and foot, and just think everyone here should do the same. The leave trash in the isles of department stores, and if you say something to them, they will respond "that is what the employees are for". #&$!ing can't stand it.

They still sing the praises and proclaim their love for their homeland, but they sure as hell are not over there..................

I'll take winter texans over them ANY day!

I was down in South Padre several years back for a sales meeting....in mid-January. We had a large group out for dinner at a VERY nice restaurant and the snow-birds were there in full force. Most were rude as they could be. Very few had manners to speak of. We went back to the hotel and my southern brethren questioned me about the snow-birds and how we put up with them. I simply told them that drive time for me was twelve to fifteen hours from my corner of the state, and that I didn't care that much for the beach to see myself going down there in the first place other than for business. I went on to tell them that when I go to the beach, I go to Gulf Shores and enjoy myself with people that not only speak the same language, but use the same currency.

As for the violence thinning the herd in Mexico, that's another thing altogether. I fly to El Paso every now and then, rent a car and drive up into New Mexico on business. I always pucker up being that close to Juarez. They say that El Paso is one of the safest towns along the border, but with the violence across the river, I just can't see how it doesn't spill over.

Snow birds/winter texans- Would say 5/10 i run into are pretty nice people. More so than a lot currently living here in the RGV.

The people from mexico, . They get upset when they cannot pay with pesos or get their manifiestos.

Took the family to SPI a couple months back to check out Sand Castle days. It was packed with them. There were cigarette butts poked in the sand at their camps. Just making a hell of a mess, and then we saw this:

robert, i'm more of a southern draw nowadays. lol. but every now and then, when i'm unaware, tat accent will pop out in the middle of my sentence. my wife, family, and friends notice tat more than i do. even my ex-wife considers tat very amusing, which pisses me off! lmfao!

oh well, tats the story of my life. god bless america and no place else. enuff said.
