want run

I have 97-ford F350 standard shift and the other day I turned it off and when i came back it would not even turn over. I have no 12VDC going to the solenoid I can jump from the battery to the stud on the solenoid and crack it all day long. Where does this wire go? I have look on line for a wire diagram for a 97 ford, but all anyone wants to do is sell, please help me.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

The wire(red/blue) comes from the neutral safety switch, which in your case is on the clutch pedal. Look up at the clutch rod as it heads toward the firewall and just before it goes through the firewall to the clutch master cylinder, you will see a black thing surrounding the rod(if they still used this hokey setup in 97). People have problems with this thing, and you can try and buy another, or you can bypass it. It should have two red/blue wires going to it, and will have others also if you have cruise control. If you tie the two red/blue wires together, it should let the voltage pass through to the solenoid.
