I'm going to offer a WAG here. If you bought a '61 Ford H series (or anything else) with a Cummins engine, I would guess Ford sent you to Cummins for parts and service. I would also guess your engine warranty was from Cummins.
I'd ask the guys that I would think would know but they is dead.
Any replies? Or I am I wasting my time correcting false statements on this site.
You have provided interesting information, but nothing that proves these vehicles existed. And nothing about how they Cummins or any other non-
Ford engine would be warrantied or serviced, or where parts might be sourced.
BTW, ever seen a 1968 427 hydraulic lifter Mustang? Lots in print about those too. How about a Mercury Cougar Eliminator with a two speed rear axle? All talk and print but little to be found in actual steel.
I now this doesn't prove anything. But we need to I D the subjects in the photo, and have a talk with them about what they know about the truck. I'm waiting with popcorn.
And, if there are any fights in here, go for the neck:
I have been offered a 1961 ford cabover i have not seen it except in pictuers yet and have been told it is a diesel anybody got any idea what kind of diesel engine would have come in this truck.thanks for your help

Interesting information? How about factual information. What have the nay sayers offered? Nothing
You are posting printed or typewritten information. Period. It is interesting. But it does not prove that these trucks rolled off the lot with a Cummins, a SD gas or a rubber band.
Why is there nothing in the parts books about the oil burners?
I think they probably did get the smoker motors, but the parts and warranties were handled by the engine maker. Beats me. I think it is also possible the literature got ahead of the actual production.
Again, if the OP can pop up with some info on this truck, some questions can be answered.

Oh I see, with your logic Don F Ball (Heavy Truck Manager) was lying, Wilbur Chase (Ford Truck Marketing Manager) was lying all Ford literature photos and press releases are false and you are correct. I have provided plenty of evidence, naysayers have provided nothing but hot air and more incorrect parts book claims.

No one has to be lying to provide information on something that is planned but never happens. You have provided NOTHING here that proves the trucks exist. Your posted links seem to prove there was literature and press releases about such trucks. The photos---can you see the engine and fuel system or a "Diesel" tag on them?
How do you know the parts book claim is incorrect? Do you have the books?
Were you running such a truck in 1961?
I'm correct? I'm saying I'm not sure and challenging your assertion that it is certain, based on some printed material, that these trucks rolled out with oil burners. Marketing materials incorrect? Has it ever happened?
