They are good turbos....they are the cheaper ones of the three. 84 6.9l has one on his truck and he loves it.

He's right, I do have one what do you need to know?

First off don't waste your time putting it on outside of the truck, the turbo sits in a way that it won't clear the cowl when you try to put the motor back in. Everything in my kit fit the way it was supposed to with no issues. Everything was included in the kit, I didn't need so much as a lock washer or hose clamp. You will need an 1-5/8" hole saw for the valve cover, and a 9/16" crows foot to tighten the oil line on the turbo. However most of the prep for the turbo can be done before you put the motor in. Like rerouting the fuel return lines and bending the seam on the firewall.

As far as low end boost it's honestly not like a wastegated system, but I don't have mine turned up all the way. It uses an AIR RESEARCH turbo IIRC its a 1.25 ratio. It uses a regular 4 bolt flange and a standard exhaust connection, so by the looks of it if you wanted to down the road, you can put a larger turbo on it with very little trouble. I'm open 2 flats on my pump and have seem 10psi.

I should have some pictures of it in 1 of my albums

From what I can tell they are quieter in the truck, but they sound good outside.I also got the exhaust with it, it also fit very well. Just make sure you let them know what glowplug system you are using, if its the 7.3 style you may need some parts I didn't. But they have that cowl induction kit I have my eye on. . . . .

Yep you need the parts to relocate your glowplug controller.
