Since my name was mentioned a few times I didn't feel comfortable posting in this thread but since others named posted I thought I should contribute. All of the names mentioned I think have made this site what it is but there have been a lot of people who have come and gone who have contributed a lot to this board. They might not have been on the board as long as some of us but each little bit of help offered I feel is greatly appreciated by all of the member of the board.

I have interests in many different vehicles and this is the most accepting and kind board I frequent. The HAMB is a great board for tech help but there is a rather large minority of jerks over there that would prefer to insult than to help. With my '37 Buick I visit two different boards. While these two boards have a lot of information the members are not very accepting anyone who isn't building a by the numbers concourse restoration. Some members on those two boards will openly attach poster who don't agree with their ideas. FTE, at least this board, the members are accepting of any build, from rat rod to concourse restoration. This is also a very polite board, when their are differences in opinion everyone seems to be polite in handling the situation. Also, I've seen times when a situation has gone negative and the board members have taken care of the problem.

If it was possible I think there should be a hundred signs made. This is the best site and it's the overall membership that makes it that.

There is one Man that helps everyone and not just in the 48 to 56 forum but all over FTE.
Everyone mentioned so far is great and there help is awesome.

But my first choice as to the one that gives the most help to
Is Numberdummy.

I hate to put up just one name cause there have been quite a few who have really helped - kind feel like I am kneecapping those I don't name... so understand this is based entirely off my short existence here (june till now, and I was never really active till sept, so that's hardly 4 months).
Numberdummy has been phenomenal, and I have to give some serious hats off there. Moe, Doc, Bob, etc, etc - you guys all know who you are even if I forget to name you individually.

I think this has a lot to do with "current" activity - some guys are active right now, some are less active. So my top dawg pick - Ross. He's nudged just inches past the others when it comes to being around and being first to offer... Does Ross have a job, how the heck is he always first on scene?

LOL, no, I don't have a job - I'm retired! I do have more time than most, and my truck is "done" (sort of) so I have more posts -- no big deal!

I appreciate the mention but I have a fundamental objection to this kind of contest, including "prettiest truck" photo contests, because as you note, picking one minimizes the contributions of others.

FTE's strength is that no matter what you're faced with, someone on here has been there, done that, and is willing to share. No one person's posts are more important than another's.

You said that very well Ross. I entered a contest on here once. I will never do that again. I just can't bring myself to beg for votes. I would never turn down Ride Of The Week though.
