Hey folks, don't mean to beat a dead horse with this question, because I know I've seen it here in the forums, but I can't seen to find it for the life of me. What are the benefits of an SCT tuner with canned tunes? What all can I monitor with it? Can I monitor EOT and ECT? How well does the "Jake Brake" or turbo brake work? I know everyone is going to tell me to go get custom tunes, but that's not what I want to do yet, I'd like to try the canned tunes then move onto the custom ones. Thanks in advance for input and opinions are always welcome.
I read your other post and was impressed that you have had a trouble free motor that said . If you want to check vitals get a scangauge not a tuner that also checks them. One reason your motor has been good ITS STOCK leave it that way no tuner. JMHO
Im stock have used canned tunes for 45k with no issues so far. I do like the eot/ect on the display. Im running a 30hp for studless tune. BUT Wulfman is right be prepared, u play u may pay. Good luck.
